For Code Camp Fullerton check out hotels at http://www.bing.com/local/default.aspx?what=hotel&where=California+Fullerton&s_cid=ansPhBkYp01&mkt=en-us&ac=false&q=california+state+fullerton+hotel
The
Marriott-California State University is on campus and a good sleep.
1 For out of towners - a list of hotels near the camp would be helpful.
- Zipcode for campus is 92093 (use Google Maps to find nearest hotels)
- Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines 10950 North Torry Pines Road La Jolla, CA 92037 (619) 558-1500 or 858-450-4584
- Sheraton La Jolla 3299 Holiday Court, La Jolla, CA 92037
- Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa 9700 N. Torry Pines Road, La Jolla, CA 92037
- Marriott-San Diego La Jolla 4240 La Jolla Village Dr, La Jolla, CA (858) 587-1414
2 For attendants, that one year when the schedule was posted as schedule rather than list was great:
Slap an xslt over the schedule feed, allow for list view or day schedule view (with column for each room and row for each time slot)
3) Online evaluation forms of talks
4) Stomp the chumps booth staffed by volunteers, answer any software related question (creates a collaboration, attract newbies,
service essays get some pesky questions answered) This can be a sponsored booth with raffle for top stomping question)
Thanks for the suggestions!
Re #1 Thanks for posting the list I added the Marriott as i have heard that it is under $100 per night.
Re #2 I have made RSS feeds of all the lists a major feature of v2 of the site
Re #3 There are online evaluations by
online resume writers of the session available if you look at the session after it starts you will see when you can give the speaker feedback.
Re #4 I am happy to setup a table or a room for "Stomp the Chump(s)" but I don't want to handle the scheduling the chumps, are you interested?
